When can I apply?

WPI offers three intakes per year to accommodate our students’ busy schedules: January, May, and August.

Are these programs available in all states?

Students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands may apply to WPI’s Online Master of Computer Science and Master of Science in Data Science programs.

Is the GRE required?

The GRE is not required for admission, but it is optional to include it in your application to demonstrate program readiness.

What are the admission requirements for the online Master of Science in Data Science program?

Is all WPI coursework online?

Yes. Coursework is 100% online, mostly asynchronous to suit your busy schedule.

How long does it take to complete the program(s)?

Both master’s programs require 30 credit hours. The programs’ 10 courses can usually be completed in 5 terms, or 1.7 years.

Each credit hour costs $1,610, for a total program investment of $48,300 (plus any applicable fees, including textbooks).
